Looks Like It'll Be Christmas in July for Ms. Doodle

Because it's nothing but the best for a kitty who has used the toilet for almost 11 years. I placed an order for the ModKat litter box in black this morning. The ModKat promises revolutionary space-saving design and litter/odor trapping functionality. With a grand total of $231.51, it'd better. No Vermont for Doodle this summer or any other season as far as I can see, but she may find that digging in the dirt is a fine vacation substitute.

Some Two Can Anne readers have inquired recently about Doodle's photography, so I'll soon put up a gallery of images that are for sale. Doodle's pictures are printed and mounted on primed canvas and stretched on a wooden frame. The largest size available for quality resolution is approximately 8.5" x 11", and smaller sizes are an option too.

Doodle is a Now a 6-Pound Terrorist

Yeah, Doodle's lost a pound over the years since she was at the vet last. Naturally hyperactive and lithe, the doc wasn't too concerned about her weight loss, but I did supplement her diet with some dry kitten food when for she's in the mood.

She made a low growl when her back door temperature was taken (who wouldn't?), was silent during the first shot in her upper arm and made a low hiss after her second shot in the leg. Passed all other tests with flying colors (the vet said her eyes were "perfect!") and we'll get her blood work results shortly to see if we can get those narsty teeth cleaned. 

Doodle expects to spend her 10th birthday in Vermont; let's hope the dental bill isn't outrageous so we can make it happen. I'll post more pics from the visit to the vet shortly; there's never a dull moment in the waiting room. 

Palm Sunday Field Trip: Doodle Goes to Astoria

Doodle's been getting on my nerves of late, simply because Spring is here and she wants to go out and kill stuff, per usual. Saturday's hangover didn't go well with Doodle's in-my-grill, early morning stir craziness, so I decided get the both of us the heck out of the house and we made a field trip to Jenn's Bitchin' Patio in Astoria (2nd time in Queens in 2 days? WTF?) where I could get a little hair of the dog, meet Jenn's charming roommates (human and pisci) and Doodle could get her fresh air sniff on. I think the following pictures reveal what a tremendous time we had bitching over bagels in the bright Springtime sun.

Doodle Eats!

This is a rare and unique phenomenon which happens approximately twice a year, and only when Doodle arrives at her country house after a 7-hour commute from her city house, and it's time for dinner. You'll notice nothing comes between Doodle and paradise-on-a-plate: Chicken Clumps n' Gravy--not her annoying human companion, her annoying human companion's mother, her annoying human companion's sister on the answering machine, a flushing toilet, her ridiculous whiskers--not even her Calvins.*Volume up for all of the meow meow num num nummy goodness. Enjoy!
