Laughing Makes Me Laugh

I went out last night thinking I'd have a regular evening of laughs at Mo Pitkin's House of Satisfaction, people, but it turned into an extraordinary evening of laughs. Good, rich, hearty laughs. Things are just better with laughing. Step in a huge pile of crap? Terrible. Add in some laughing? It's not as bad. Of course, when I got home, things got all kind of serious for a second, because Doodle has been waiting for me all damn day and had some pretty high expectations in the dinner department, and when she saw the feast of fancy slide out of the can, well, you could tell she was a little disappointed in it's smooth texture. You know how much she digs the chunky. Anyway, I'm exhausted, but feel I owe it to you to share a little about last night's comedy. Ready, Fred?

At 8:00, I saw MAX with delightful nerd hunk Matt McCarthy and smokin' hot Jenny Rubin. Jenny's Jan of "I'm Jan, and I don't care" made me spit out my drink. And I didn't even have a drink. Ditto on Miss Katina Corrao's new comic, "Ready, Set, Go!" who was so absurd tears came out of my eyes and I felt like I was tripping my balls off. And I didn't even have any acid or balls to trip off. Carolyn Castiglia and Laura Mannino were pants pissers per usual, another comic ripped on dorky Wiccans, and then there was a dude doing Apocolypse Now with Kermit the Frog. Is that a bizzare trip or what? And the show is free. Free! Tripping your balls off for free. Fantastic.

At nine, I made my way to the next room for Stripped Stories, stories about sex, hosted by stunners Giulia Rozzi and Margot Leitman. The lineup included Nichelle Stevens, Rob & Mark, and Seth Herzog. For five beans I was regaled with tales about securing a hooker at the Milford Plaza, the art of masturbating with a bean bag chair, maintaining composure while you send/receive dirty text messages and teach math to a class of retarded kids at the same time, a three-way with a couple of French dudes and an Englishman a few hours later. Pheeeewwww! I am fucking exhausted! All that sex for five bucks. Can you beat that? No, you can't beat that! You can't beat even beat it with a beating machine.

Get yourselves to Mo's and see MAX (weekly) or Stripped Stories (monthly) if you know what's good for you, and that's laughter, kids. Don't be idiots. Tonight, I'm going to see Matt Sears and his piece in The Apologies down at the St. Mark's Theater. Should be a great evening filled with Sears, beers, and queers. Can't wait!
