Enjoy the Heatnessness

I used to spin records between innings at our high school baseball games (usually about ten fans in the bleachers) and "Heatwave's "Groove Line" was always the most inspirational and funky.

My "DJ GEAR" consisted of a crummy old record player (with three-inch speaker and a dagger of a phono needle) that was borrowed from the band room.

I also recall that Queen's "We Are the Champions" and Eddie Money's "Two Tickets to Paradise" roused our team to victory many times (aah, the late mystifying 70s...)

Oh yeah...years before, Patty Hearst and the SLA had kidnapped one of the baseball players from our school...but that's a whole other story.

I'll be spending the rest of the afternoon proving you wrong, Li'l Alty, as soon as I warm up my Jack in the Box in the microwave.
