If you have found yourselves puzzling over the question, "What may Anne have been doing on a random winter Saturday night in 1992?" then you are in luck. At that time there is a strong chance that Anne was dancing in the sweaty grand hall of the Delta Upsilon fraternity (a-turn of the century house which has since been remodeled into dorm rooms) to this very song with a dear friend named Cleon. He and I had college radio shows back to back, mine focusing on rock and his on jazz, and I remember him saying that he would name his first-born daughter Aja*, after his love of the so-called Steely Dan album. I get the impression from the alumni newsletters that his wife has since put the kibosh on that idea.
Please enjoy the Fine Young Cannibals and "She Drives Me Crazy." You're gonna love it.
And if you don't? Honestly, I don't know what to say. Other than we simply don't understand each other. And I frankly don't know why you've read this far. No offense.
*pronounced Asia
