Who Doesn't Love Airport Screening?

TSA Agent in the Burlington Vermont International Airport: Carrying any gels, solids, liquids or pastes?

Anne: Exuse me?

TSA Agent: I said, carrying any gels, solids, liquids or pastes?

Anne: Oh, um, no.

{luggage goes through metal detector}

TSA Agent: I'm afraid gonna have to open your luggage.

Anne: Oh. Ok.

TSA Agent: What's THIS?! (holds up ziplock bag of gels, solids, liquids or pastes packed in the front pocket)

Anne: What's what?

TSA Agent: You said you weren't carrying any gels, solids, liquids or pastes! And here they are!

Anne: But they're bagged together in regulation 4 oz containers in the required zip lock bag. I didn't think I had to mention it.

TSA Agent: Oh, yes, you have to declare any gels, solids, liquids or pastes. I asked you if you had them.

Anne: Whatever. They don't do this at JFK. Do you want to search the birthday cake too? That could be considered a gel, a solid, and a paste.

I always make sure I mention this to the security people everytime I go through an airport security line: "Why don't all airports do the process the same?" It's ridiculous.
