Anne Altman, Producer: Believe It.

Guess what, chicken butt? I've been asked to co-produce my most favoritest live, on-stage concept, the first show of its kind, the angst-ridden and cathartic series, Mortified! That's right, along with brilliant, multi-talented stunner Brandy Barber, I'll be making New York's productions happen on a monthly basis, and I couldn't be more wicked psyched!

Casting begins now, so go ahead, don't be shy, go through all that crap at your parents' house that your mom's been threatening to throw out for years. Be a part of history and share the shame. Kids these days with their texting and instant messaging on the information supernet and whatnot means that nothing is really written down these days and it makes the old stuff scrawled in grape-scented purple ink pens even more precious.

Dust off that diary! Whip out that Trapper Keeper! Mortified is always looking for new performers to appear in our stage show. Open to anyone from actors to accountants. Must be 21+. Thanks!

Hailed a "cultural phenomenon" by Newsweek and celebrated by This American Life, The Today Show, The Onion AV Club, Entertainment Weekly's "Must List," Esquire, Jane, Bust, Daily Candy and more... Mortified is a comic excavation of adolescent artifacts (journals, letters, poems, lyrics, home movies, stories, plays, schoolwork) as shared by their original authors before total strangers.

Read our Casting FAQ to learn about our approach and how you can participate on stage.

Fantastic news. Now you can wear flashy sequined dresses and pick up hot showguys in bars just by promising them an audition.

Do I have to strip again for this one? Because I may start crying again.
