Anne: Wendy's on the Phone for You

Well, folks, it seems that Wendy's is a stand up joint. Good to know! I always liked that Dave Thomas may he RIP. Anyway, this afternoon I received a return phone call regarding my query by a lovely woman named Michelle Lemmons from Wendy's corporate. That's the good news. The bad news is that our in-house actuary disagrees with her assumptions, but the case is not over. I'll give you more details on this tomorrow as I left my "copious" notes at work. Sit tight!

I did the calculation for you. Assuming you don't get charged any extra for these toppings:

Cheese, Pickle, Ketchup, Mustard, Mayonaisse, Onion, Lettuce, Tomato

Making a total of 8 toppings with which to customize your hamburger. Theoretically you could add bacon, remove the bun, or remove the meat to increase the number of combinations to over 1,000 but I will leave it with what they probably used.

Using these 8 toppings and the formula 2^n-1 you will come up with the maximum number of combinations available. Wendy's mathematician made a grave error by forgetting to subtract the 1 from the calculation, thus they ended up with 256 combinations instead of the ACTUAL 255 combinations. Hope this helps!

I should call them tomorrow :)
Please update me by email Sirius.Cybernetics@gmail.com I would love to know the outcome of this :) also mention me to your Anne lady if you talk to her again! I want a reprint of this bag!

Nevermind, I just realized no toppings at all is their extra number, creating a total of 256. :)
