NYC is Nicer When The Yankees Suck

Don't get me wrong, the Yankees always suck so to speak, but when they lose, this town is simply a better place to live. Now that the Yanks have turned their beautiful losing streak into a (mini) winning streak, their fans are at it again, flappin' their traps more relentlessly than ever. Please, help me help you by helping them shut their freakin' pie holes: Root for any other team. I prefer you root for the Red Sox, but if it's the Phillies or the Mets, that's fine too. For now.

Sorry, Anne, but the Bosox lost 2 out of 3 to the Rockies. The Colorado Rockies. Take a look at the NL West and see where they stand. That's just sad. However, I'm sure they will do the same thing to the Yankees when they come to town soon.

I feel your pain, Anne-- I'm a Cub fan.

I was rooting for the Red Sox in '04. Not only do I like them, I hate the Yankees for various reasons. One of the main reasons, besides their insufferable fans, who think that the Yankees are entitled to win every year, I hate George Steinbrenner. He's like the rich guy who has everything, but still wants more. I'll never forgive Johnny Damon for going to the Yankees.

My also-Yankee-hating son (I've raised him well, haven't I?) was appalled when he ended up on the Senior League Yankees in Little League this year. Since they've been kicking ass, with a 6-3 record, though, his pain has been considerably salved.
