Sigh.
I didn't believe all that crap about soulmates until I found mine. Unfortunately I met him online, and 73 years too late.
You see, my soulmate is/was Giuseppe Zangara, the Italian-born American immigrant who tried to assassinate FDR in February 1933 and was executed 32 days later via the sexy electric chair in March, 1933.
Our love never had a chance.
Here's why we were a match made in heaven:
- He "no like no peoples." Me neither!
- We've both had appendectomies.
- Have a look at his very last words on his approach to the chair:
"Get to hell out of here, you sonofabitch [spoken to the attending minister]... I go sit down all by myself... Viva Italia! Goodbye to all poor peoples everywhere!... Lousy capitalists! No picture! he killed a guy, just not the guy he wanted. it should have been some sort of satisfaction for him you know?
All I can say is I'm sorry you've missed your soul mate, that is a sad burden you will now have to carry around. You could blame your great grandparents (on both sides) had they started earlier things might have been.
I just realized that it was only a little over a month from the time he pulled the trigger until the day he rode the lightning. Holy shit! It takes 15 years of appeals these days before they even set an execution date,
