Chalk This Story Up to Perverts With Good Insulation
Josef Fritzl isn't the first dude to build a House of Horrors, and he won't be the last. Pervs, pervs, everywhere. Can't a guy just read a few dirty magazines anymore instead of raping his kids, fathering their children and keeping them all locked in a soundproof basement for 24 years? Geez. Read Devil in the White City by Erik Larson to learn about the first documented House of Horrors built by Dr. H. H. Holmes.

This story is so odd. How do you keep something like that a secret for that many years? What the hell did he do when he went on vacation? And no one wondered about the extra food or supplies needed to keep all those people locked in a basement alive for years?
No medical care, no fresh air, no entertainment? I treat my pets better than that! Sick f-er. I hope he dies.
I did read the Larsen book and it was very interesting. Holmes little horror lab was pretty gruesome.
H.H. Holmes, nice call. One of the more interesting stories in American history that the average person has never heard.
