Sarah Palin: Good Ol' American Book Burner?

Did Sarah Palin wanted to ban the following books--even books by Mortified's patron saint of teen angst Judy Blume-- from her Alaskan liberry? Here's an email forwarded to me via Mortified LA:

While I believe that it is true that she tried to ban books in her public library...not even the school library, I might add...that list that is going around is probably incorrect. It shows the same books from this website:

http://www.adlerbooks.com/banned.html

which are books that have been banned at one time or another in the US. Could be that she used this as the list, but more likely it is just an internet fabrication.

Looks to be completely false. Here is the Snopes page.

According to this Sep 2 article by WILLIAM YARDLEY
(Published: September 2, 2008) Ms. Palin tried to ban the books:

Oh, I'm not saying she didn't ask about banning books. She did. Just like the article you provided says.

It's just that the list you provided that is internet rumor. She never provided a list and later said that her inquiry was only "rhetorical". Just like it is stated in that article.

Doesn't make her any less evil for wanting to ban books, but there is enough wrong with this woman in truth to be against her. We don't need any made-up reasons.

Why ban the books... just cut back on school funding and then kids can't read any books. That way you won't have to ban new books in the future. It's win/win.

More rhetoric from the left, lets see the "wrong",earl. I can show you a BIG list of wrongs with Obama that the media will continue to turn a blind eye to because he's their man, so much for "reporting" the facts. I will give you credit for recognizing the list as an internet fake, there's alot of that going around about her.
