Old-o-Meter

How to tell if you're old:

When your officemate asks you, "Who was that band that did Stairway to Heaven*?"

*Clearly she never went to one of my High School dances then, or she'd know it's the last song played before the lights flick on, and you hightail it outta there or fling yourself against the wall if you don't have anyone to dance with or else you're gonna look like a huge a-hole...again. Welcome to high school.

Obviously a clueless wonder. I think kids in today's high schools even know who The Marshall Tucker Band is.

I HATE that the younger generation does not have any concept of classic rock bands, movies, actors, etc. They are so self-centered.

How can someone not know Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Stones, etc.?

Yes but these are the same people who know every word of the songs on paris hilton's, lindsay lohan's, and that other twat's --with the perfume and the sister-- albums.

I heard Muzak versions of "Stairway to Heaven" and "Whiter Shade of Pale" on the elevator. It made me feel about 300 years old.
