I arrived in New York from mucho required R&R in sunny San Juan just in time for the massive, traffic-stopping Puerto Rican Day Parade. Coincidentally, I happened to be in Old San Juan during a labor strike which took the form a massive, traffic-stopping parade. If you're counting, that's two Puerto Rican parades in two days. I think that if I had to describe Puerto Rican culture in three words or less to let's say, a cat-- not from Puerto Rico--I might use, They Dig Parades. Or Meow Meow Meow.

It’s not a parade unless there’s an Underdog balloon.
Sadly, there are no Puerto Rican Day Parades in Northern Michigan. Just a bunch of lame Caucasians.
