Did Someone Say "Friskies Special Diet Sliced Chicken n' Gravy?"

If you did, Doodle's ears are burning. It took several years of trial and error, but we here at Two Can Anne have finally zoomed in on Doodle's absolute favorite canned food, and this is what it is:

The way she snarfs this junk up you'd think she caught it and tortured it herself. So in essence, her favorite food (of the low magnesium variety) contains the following:
  1. Chicken
  2. Low Magnesium "Special Diet": (She's prone to urinary tract problemos)
  3. Sliced chunks of chicken (pureed crap doesn't do it)
  4. A nice gravy

So, if you didn't manage to get Doodle a Christmas present this year and are interested in doing so, you can click on the link above and contribute to the whiskered beast that way. She'll thank you. Somehow. It may be in the form of a dirty look, but she means well.

Friskies Turkey 'n' Cheese is a favorite with Frankie & Johnny, and was a long-time favorite of cats in a large feral-cat colony I used to manage (they've all been fixed, found homes, and living the good life).

I'll have to try the sliced Chicken n' Gravy.

is doodle on a diet?

my cats just lick the gravy off and leave the plain blah food chuncks to poor old ripley.

ripley is getting more nutrition. the others are just getting fat.

doodle's on a Special diet. it's low magnesium, not low fat. to prevent pee pee cancer.

well ripley doesn't eat the food chunks..she just gets there last.

so what you're saying is, nobody eats the chunks. why buy?

my cats love the chunks.

well i don't buy any food with gravy in it anymore, but sometimes a can or two will sneak in there by accident. and then you're at home, the only cat food there is is the gravy chunk kind. so what do i do? i feed it to em.

omalley and bea are ALL ABOUT processed chicken and liver. no chunks please.

I only feed my cats dry food. Does that make me a bad parent?

This stuff sounds like it would be delicious with a few fava beans and a nice Chianti.

the dry is supposedly great for cats' teeth. so what they don't know about the delicious tender gravy goodness in wet food won't hurt 'em.
