The Truth About Barney Miller and Me

1) I had a crush on Barney Miller

2) I could play the theme song just using only the black keys on the piano when I was a kid and played it when I was supposed to be practicing real stuff

4) I played piano for ten years but quit to focus on my basketball career

5) The show made me want to be a cop

6) I never did become a cop

7) Or a basketball player

8) I watch Cops regularly

9) I rarely watch basketball anymore

10) My dad had a Barney Miller mustache for awhile and when he shaved it off my sister cried because she didn't recognize him and didn't think he owned a top lip.

Dad loved Barney Miller. So he watched it, we all watched it. Even the spinoff, Fish, which wasn't that good.

Yeah, I didn't like fish.

Doodle loves it, however.

I had a crush on Wojo.

But, I kinda didn't like Barney Miller, only because I knew I had to go to bed after it.

I watched this series religiously. Jack Soo, who provided the ethnic touch before he died and was replaced by Greg Sierra, always cracked me up. He was the Asian equivalent of the cartoon dog, Droopy.

I loved Police Inspector Frank Luger
That was a great ensemble. And then we see Ron Glass on the excellent show Firefly.

I loved Barney Miller. We played the theme song in marching band and I was in heaven!

I loved Sargeant Nick.

Oh, and I can't watch basketball because of all the exposed underarm hair. Ew.

Fargrave! Great call on Ron Glass!! I loved Firefly and didn't even recall he was on Barney Miller until I saw the out-takes on the DVD when they showed him back in the day.

Thanks! Yep, that show rocks! I was very sad when I watched the last episode on the DVD. Great movie too!
