and it's delightful.
i can't imagine it any differently.
actually, though, when i do pick up my camera, turn it on, and aim it at a subject with my finger on the button, i guess i COULD do without, "are you taking a picture?"
maybe someday when i get a new camera you can just assume when i do those motions that i'm probably taking a picture and leave it at that.
