Luck would have it that the only thing this drunk driver hit was a couple two, three cars. Had my posse and I stepped off the curb a minute sooner, we would have been in the line of fire. When Drunk Dude failed his sobriety test with a stumble during the "walk the straight line" part, the crowd of 25 rubberneckers which had gathered went wild. And when he was handcuffed, people cheered. I, of course, documented the entire thing, as I would. The firefighters were hot.

For some odd reason this photo reminds me of the Spike Lee movie "Summer of Sam" - maybe it's the dark, moody hues.

Okay! Here is the police log.
Gary M. Lee, 56, of 18 Fayette St., Beverly, was arrested at 1:15a.m. on Rantoul Street for drunken driving, a fourth offense, and for failure to use care in turning.
Sir!? Can I see your license and registration for that horrible toupee?!
That toup! What, was he drunk or something?! Oh yeah-he was!
