oh DD, such an integral part of a new englander's life. everyone on the west coast is like, "krispy kreme is like WAY better". oh yeah? well then how come the krispy kremes are going out of business up here? DD is not just about the donuts...it's got the coffee too!
Whipcreamy - you are spot on. the Krispy Kreme's in the Philly area do NOT do well at all and the fact that there is a DD on every corner doesn't help.
The Northerners just don't get the KK thing. We're more DD people.
We have both in Denver and I still prefer DD. The donuts are better and the coffee is infinitely better. KK tastes slimy to me. Besides, you can really dunk a DD without leaving a oil slick on your coffee.
