Add Detroit

In addition to Chicago and Philly, Detroit is way up top on my list of cities to visit for it's architecture. Even if you don't know shit or give a shit about the Motor City, this little timeline of this old house (one of hundreds razed each year) just might peak your interest.

Old houses. The best.

Excellent site. Be sure to click on A History of 63 Alfred Street In Pictures on the bottom right menu. It features the classic Warren Zevon ditty, I Was In The House When The House Burned Down.

yup! and these houses are being knocked down by the second. cities like detroit can't afford to keep this houses up when there is no one to buy them, or clean them up.

They knocked one down in Philly recently that angered me so. If I had my million I would have bought it and feng shui'd it silly. But alas, twas not to be.
