Ask the Audience

Hello, peeps. Since signs are pointing to the fact that I could quite possibly be in the middle of my 4th mid-life crisis, and since I'm a temp who could be fired without warning at any moment for no reason at all, I ask you, my dear readers, the following question:

"What should I be when I grow up*?"

*And please don't say veterinarian, because the program is wicked hard and lasts forever, plus you have to see terrible things and put animals to sleep sometimes, and I don't think I handle that crap well because I'm a bleeding heart, completely weak, and a total a-hole. But of course, if you really truly still think I should be a vet, then do say it, and I'll add it to my list of unmet goals. Thanks.

Bitter.

It takes commitment, but it's possible if you stick with it.

how about love slave for other bloggers? preferably bloggers who doodle stickmen, live in canada and eat kitkats. i know the money will probably not be up to your standards but then again what job is?

astronauts. i've been having issues with the career lately. i mean, i know we're supposed to support the arts and sciences and whatnot and if we don't, we're called republicans and that's the worst name in the book BUT i am confused: why do republicans love the space program and spend billions of dollars on it while cutting education programs and hating sciences that save lives? it doesn't make any sense. maybe you can figure that out for me, anne, when you're figuring out your life goals.

I think you should be a professional lottery winner. That's a solid career with a great future. Then, if you get sick of that career choice, become a philanthropist. It’s what all the cool billionaires are doing these days.

ok, liz, i've got the space thing figured out. new republicans (i need to define them as new because lincoln was a republican and he was cool)like the space program b/c it's macho. and school is gay. therefore, new republicans are cockballs.

get it?

it's new math.

note to self: play more lotto

you hit it, anne: macho. i completely agree and that had been my assumption but i wanted to delve deeper. thanks for reminding me that with new republicans, there is no depth.

Being a veterinarian isn't that difficult. You're just not allowed to eat meat.
