Upwardly Mobile Obsessed Consumers Need To Stop Breeding Please

Nina Paley is a fantastic cartoonist. I saw her animated short last night on Reel New York called "The Stork"--a brilliant way to describe how I feel about this crap. She said she animated the message so people would pay attention. She knows most people have short attention spans and only colorful shiny things that you don't have to read will get their attention. Works for me.

It's very good!

Check it.

Whoa, twenty bucks for a used copy? Too bad it's out of print.

You can also see most of 'em free at cartoonistgroup.com.

Mmm... interesting video. Since Nina's commented on here maybe she'll respond to this... I just had a baby and so I know the stork very well (he still drops by occasionally with unpaid hospital bills). Don't you think it's more the developers who destroy nature than people having babies? Supply/demand, of course. I understand population control is a problem, but you can be someone who has a child and still be sensitive to the needs addressed in the cartoon. I'm just sick of feelin' hate towards my ute. ;)
